Brief: To develop a series of user guides for personal pagers sold in numerous international markets. The user guides were required to achieve the following, opposing goals: Minimum booklet size to match small product; Maximum number of languages to reduce stock codes; Maximum readability for the target audience.
Solution: A booklet size of 140 x 80 mm, printed in a landscape orientation and containing four languages per booklet. Text is minimised through the use of diagrams showing the user which buttons to press and the results of their actions. These guides have been produced to serve markets as varied as Latin America through East and West Europe to China.
